Andrew Baertlein founded Cougar Sports Network in August of 2018 during his sophomore year of college at Washington State.

Indoctrinated from his youth, Andrew was born a Coug. While pursuing his journalism degree, it just made sense to start writing about the team. He caught the late great Mike Leach’s attention and got media credentials on his recommendation. Andrew continued to run the site for several years until his graduation in 2021.
