News broke Monday afternoon that the Cougars were going to be adding a new player. That player is Wichita State transfer Chance Moore, a lanky wing from Louisville. Ranked by some outlets as a four star recruit, Moore couldn’t find consistent playing time with the Shockers. Appearing in four games, Moore scored three points and pulling down three boards in a total of 20 minutes. Wichita State has uncharacteristically struggled this year, and on December 17th, Moore announced he was leaving the program.
Because of his announcement coming now, Moore can enroll at WSU for the upcoming semester meaning he will be eligible for the Cougars by December of 2019. It marks the third player to join Washington State for the upcoming season along with Ryan Murphy and Daron Henson. Due to his size and skillset, Moore might be the lead candidate to try and replace star forward Robert Franks who graduates at the end of this year.
